InfraIO Wallet FAQ
Who holds my keys?
You do. InfraIO Wallet is self-custody: InfraIO Pay never holds your keys or your recovery phrase, and cannot move your funds.
Do I need a recovery phrase?
Not for a passkey wallet. It is optional there and recommended as a backup. It is required for device key wallets (phones that cannot use passkeys) and before you remove your last passkey.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Restore on a new phone with your synced passkey, or with your recovery phrase. If you lost both, nobody can recover the wallet. See Recovery and new phone.
Is my address the same on every network?
Yes. On EVM networks the wallet has the same address, so one address works everywhere you use it.
Why do I need the network’s native coin?
The network fee is always paid in the native coin of the network you send on. Keep a small balance of it on each network where you send.
What does “setting up” the wallet on a network mean?
The wallet is deployed on a network the first time you send from it there. It is free where InfraIO Pay sponsors setup. Otherwise a one-time fee is paid from your native coin balance on that network.
Can I receive before the wallet is set up?
Yes. Receiving works before setup, and funds sent early are safe at your address.
Can I swap on a test network?
No. Swap is available on mainnets only, through aggregators, with slippage settings. See Swap.
Can I use a network that is not in the list?
If it is an EVM network with the required contracts and a bundler, yes. Add it as a custom network. See Use a new network.
What if some services are temporarily unavailable?
Balances, receiving and sending still work from the blockchain. See how it works .
Can I keep more than one wallet?
Yes. The app supports multiple wallets, and you can switch between them.
