# Referral program Every merchant gets a personal **referral code** and a shareable link of the form `infraio.xyz/r/`. When a merchant you referred signs up and starts taking payments, you earn **20% of the InfraIO Pay platform fees they pay, for as long as they stay a merchant** (lifetime). ## How attribution works - Share your link `infraio.xyz/r/` (a QR code is available in the dashboard and merchant app). - The link sets a **90-day cookie**. If the visitor signs up within 90 days, they are attributed to you. - A new merchant can also type your code manually in the **referral code field at signup**. ## Commission lifecycle | State | Meaning | | --- | --- | | `pending` | The referred merchant's payment settled. Commission is held for **14 days**. | | `earned` | The hold ended and the commission is yours. | | `reversed` | The underlying payment was refunded, so the commission is reversed. | ## Tiers Your tier grows with the number of active merchants you refer and unlocks commission boosts. | Tier | Boost | | --- | --- | | Starter | Base 20% | | Silver | Boosted rate | | Gold | Higher boosted rate | | Diamond | Highest boosted rate | Current thresholds and boosts for your account are shown on the referral card in the merchant dashboard and in the [merchant app](https://docs.infraio.xyz/en/get-started/merchant-app). ## Getting paid Earned commission can be taken in two ways: - **Prepaid credit** — applied to your own platform fees.
